     Students worked in groups and showed their work to get each equation in slope-intercept form. I also asked students to leave "hints" on the white boards or on sticky notes as they left a station.

Once a student answered a question correctly, they were able to pass the ball to a teammate. The last person to answer correctly got to shoot the ball into the trashcan for points. 
     The strategy worked a lot better than I originally expected. Several students were really excited about shooting and passing the ball, and they encouraged their team to answer the questions correctly. I feared someone throwing the ball too hard or something getting broke, but they did a really good job.

The strategy was still successful and treating the assignment as a quiz really cut down on any behavior problems you may have with more difficult classes.
