The United States is divided into fifty states, while Canada on the other hand is not divided into states, instead familiarizes itself as a federation. Canada divides into 10 provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, and then into three territories: Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut (Infoplease, 2010).
