Insurance Quotes
Shop around for your health insurance just the way you would for your auto or home insurance. In doing so you will see what works best for you. unlike the Health card which only has one number on the private insurance card and as a card holder there are several information we must know. We would hear phases such as insurance policy number, member certificate number, plan contract number, and drug plan number. These are just some important things that are needed to access the services.
A private insurance we might be familiar with and how it would work would be the insurance coverage we get from Durham if we had opt to keep it. This insurance is from The Student Association.

Medavie Blue Cross™

Policy # 0091963000

ID #: Your 9 digit Student ID number + 00

Retrieved from www.studentvip.ca

We can do our research online or wn can talk with our friends or family who may know or use an insurance company that they find provide for their need at a reasonable price.
The company is contacted and they will discuss with you how the policy work such as how payment is made, what is covered under the policy and how long you would need the policy. Whether long term or short term such as for vacation/ travel insurance while traveling out of country. The insurance provider will also need to know the type of coverage you are looking for.
Another way of getting private insurance coverage is though the company of employment if you are a full-time staff. A portion is taken from your pay and the employee pay the balance and you will have coverage for things not covered by OHIP example dental care. they can be Blue Cross, ClaimSecure, Manulife and Sun Life.
These private insurance covers:

Dental care

Prescription drugs

Vision care

Registered specialist and therapeutic care

Emergency medical travel coverage

Semi-private or private hospital room stays
