Education Around the World
I didn't really learn about education around the world. But that
notion doesn't seem so out of reach now that I think about the possiblities with technology. I can learn what other countries are doing in education through the vast amount of information that is in the internet, and also I could possibly meet some teachers from these countries through online forums.
Technology
Has the use of technology affected students creativity? Yes and No. I think students are able to be more creative through the use of technology such as the green screens that we used in my classroom this past trimester. Students designed a theme park to learn about area and coordinate plane and ordered pairs. Then students plotted their rides, restaurants, and gift shops throughout this coordinate plane. After, students created a commercial for their design by using a green screen and iMove. This technology allowed my students to be very creative.

Math
Math - Students have gained and lost from the transition to common core. However, there are ways to help them gain some of those skills. Students can use software that teach specific skills. Also, I can help students make up those deficits by trying to incorporate activities that will help them gain those skills into the curriculum through morning routines or homework practice.
Project Based Learning and Cooperative Groups
I think that project based learning allows students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways which benefits most students. Cooperative groups are good for everybody because it forces students to get out of their comfort zone and learn how to get along with others. It has helped me in the past 2 trimesters of school to be able to collaborate with many types of people.
