This hallucination shows how Macbeth's ambition has begun to cloud his judgment.

Ambition: Power but will do anything to seize it.

And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full

Of direst cruelty!”

This shows that Lady Macbeth will do anything, like be cruel, to have the crown.
