It provides examples of discrimination against South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu and Arab Americans. I believe the examples provided prove how we have gone backwards as a society since The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published. Racism has always been a problem in America, but it has continued to worsen the last 16 years or so. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn depict what life was like for slaves, teaches the reader about the hardships they face and educates them about racism. Since its publish date, there have been over 150 cases of police brutality against people of color, not to mention the racism in schools, work places, the street, etc. POC face everyday. There is no simpler way to say that people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds have become a target to many.
