Morning Football

During morning football, we've been learning more advanced techniques and rules, and we've played a lot of matches. This year, I’ve noticed a change in my position—last year, I was a midfielder, but I now feel I'm better suited to being a striker. My speed and ability to get to the goal have really improved, which makes me feel more confident in this role. I play with Judy, Sedra, Maya, and Alana, and we always make sure to do proper warm-ups. Our teamwork has also improved, and I can see how we’ve all become more advanced, especially with the age range now including Year 7s. It's been great to see how much we've developed, and I’m excited to keep pushing myself in football.

Morning Netball

During morning netball this year, I’ve had an amazing time not only learning about the different positions but also advancing my skills, particularly with shooting. It’s been really rewarding to dive deeper into the strategies behind each role on the court, and I’ve found myself especially drawn to the challenge of Goal Shooter (GS). As I’ve been exploring the different positions, I’ve loved discovering which aspects of the game suit me best—whether it’s positioning, timing, or working with my teammates to create scoring opportunities. It’s been such a fun and fulfilling experience overall, and I’m excited to keep improving

English

I am enjoying English as it’s really interesting learning about Coraline as I love the movie and I am really proud that I got a M in English as I have worked hard for it, I always complete my homework on time and I always try to challenge myself with the stretch question. I learnt to write a PETAL paragraph and analyse text. My target is to try and extend my writing by zooming into the language.

Math

My maths lessons are always fun learning. We have been learning about different angles and how to work them out. A few weeks ago I didn’t get a good score but now we have another test and I’m going to work really hard on getting a better score, same with English I always do my homework on time. My target is to show all my working out as this was feedback from my teacher.

Science

Science is going really well for me, especially since I’m in the masters group, which means I’m tackling more challenging material. We’re learning some really interesting topics, and I’m enjoying it a lot. For science homework, I had trouble accessing the website at first, but now that I’ve figured it out, I plan to complete my assignments quickly to stay on top of things and avoid any issues, as I haven't received any negatives yet. I’m happy to say I got an S+!

Production (oliver)

In the production, I am part of the ensamble we go every Thursday and I enjoy learning new dances and presenting them.

Class charts

I am doing really well in class charts as I have already got 58 and I have no negatives.

Attendance

My attendance is not so good with attendance as I have 95.6% as I got my braces checked and done and I skipped the end of school for that, I also have been sick a few times, I have only been late to one lesson on the second week of school as I thought you had to go to a Friday lesson at 7:50 but it was actually 7:40, a few other kids made the same mistake but now I have learnt that Fridays start at 7:40 and I was never late after that.

Grades

My grades this year are excellent expect for one but I feel I have done a great job in the lessons. I only got one D in history as I never had it last year so it was pretty challenging to understand. I am very proud of my ALT as I only have 1s and 2s, next term I’m going to reach for a higher grade and a higher ALT trying to get all S-Ms and all 1s, for English, Computer science, geography, French, science, I exceeded in my target goal while in History and Match I got below my target grade. I am really happy that I got a S+ in PE as it’s my favorite subject but I think that I can get an M next term as im really good at it and I don’t think I’ve been showing it off.

Middle school award

Reading

I am doing well in reading with a 16 reading age, I have been reading maze runner and hunger games at home and it has been going really well.

PE

I really love PE; it’s my favorite subject, and I enjoy it even more this term because we’re learning about netball. The skills and strategies we’re covering are really interesting, and I feel like I’m improving each lesson. I’m proud to have received an S+ for everything, except for the handball unit, but I’m determined to work harder next term. I believe I’m capable of achieving an M, and I’m motivated to push myself further to reach that level. Reflecting on this term, I’m excited to keep progressing and continue enjoying PE!

History

In history, I received a D, which is really upsetting for me, especially since we've only had one assessment so far. We've been learning about the Battle of Hastings and the Battle of Stamford Bridge, which I find interesting, but I clearly need to put in more effort to fully grasp the content. I realize I need to focus more on my study habits and understanding the key details of the events. I’m disappointed with my grade, but I’m committed to improving next term by reviewing the material more thoroughly and staying on top of my assignments.

Geography

In geography, I received an S+, which makes me really proud. We’ve been learning about mapping, and it’s been such an interesting topic. I’ve enjoyed getting to grips with different map skills and understanding how to read and create maps. The subject feels really engaging, and I’m glad to see my effort reflected in the grade. It motivates me to keep up the hard work and continue to improve my skills in geography!

Languages

In languages, I’ve been facing some difficulties with my teacher, which has made me not enjoy the subject as much as I did last year. I’m in the mastery set, so we’re working on more advanced topics, which can be challenging, but I know I’m capable of handling it. I received an S+ for my work, which I’m happy about, but during parents' evening, my teacher mentioned that I can be stubborn at times. Reflecting on that, I realize I need to work on being more open to feedback and adjusting my approach when necessary. Despite the challenges, I still want to improve and make the most of the opportunities in language learning.

Drama

In drama, we’ve been learning about mime, and my team and I worked together to create a beautiful piece. I’m really proud of the effort we put into it, but unfortunately, I couldn’t perform it because I had a dentist appointment that clashed with the performance. While I was disappointed to miss out on the chance to showcase our work, I’m still really proud of the creative process and the teamwork that went into putting it all together. I hope I’ll get the opportunity to perform in the future, and I’ll make sure to manage my schedule better to avoid missing anything important next time.
