You can simulate disasters of many natures on it at its adaptable to various scenarios, saving the need to blow things up in real life. 

You can draw quickly, neatly, change things, move things, and do lots more on them, including wire the computer to the CAM device and make the product on the site.

Its much faster and more reliable than made by hand, and almost guarantees that each unit is identical... unless someone unknowingly messes with the computer and blows everything apart.

Its also very expensive. like, tens of thousands to install.
