Over the course 5 years, over 70% of students use their cell phones while in class for non educational purposes. It’s not safe to use a cell phone in a school environment. It can cause chaos among the students by bumping into each other and it might cause problems knowing some students can be very tempered. Also cells phones could be a big distractions because no one ever knows what these students do on their cell phones. Many kids could be playing video games, they could be texting, or cheat on test and work by texting the answers to another student.Since so many students have the accessibility to cell phones, it is important to realize how it can change the environment in a classroom. Students should not be allowed to use phones openly in school because it creates a problem in their education and can cause them to not be interested in their class time.

The purpose of a cell phone is to send and receive text messages, emails, photos, videos, phone calls, as well as access to the internet, and much more. Cells phones will not benefit students in class, it is disrespectful to use phones in class, as well as it limits your learning due to the lack of paying attention.

Many schools now a days use cell phones to contact students, especially if you are part of a school organization. Teen texters spend and receive 20 texts a day. What is the probability that students are actually using their cell phones for educational purposes? Since so many teens use technology as part of their daily lives, the actual purpose of cell phones is misleading to the public. Having cellphones in class will just ultimately distract students and make them rebel against their authorities more.

No, in school there are many students already that do not use their phones for good. Many students charge their phones and whilst charging it, they connect to the wifi and mess around there. Technology is meant to be used for good, such a case is visible with chromebooks. However, chromebooks are different because they are controlled by the school and the wifi is being controlled by the school and administrators. Most if not all chromebooks are school controlled and are not meant for going online and being misused by students. One evidence for this is visible on the very popular website; Youtube. When using the website of Youtube on the chromebooks, you cannot go on anything distracting and many times it keeps the students from being distracted in class and only leaves the option for working. Since students get so distracted with using their phone there will not get there work done or  pay attention to class and and that will not help the student or teacher because there are not getting their job done.
