In the beginning, the legislative <strong>branch</strong> was the Senate, a group made up of 300 citizens from Rome's patrician class, the oldest and wealthiest families of Rome. It was the patricians, tired of obeying the king, who revolted and threw out <a href="https://www.bing.com/search?q=Lucius+Tarquinius+Superbus&amp;filters=sid%3afd1652a6-d4c9-32e9-50b4-180927e00309&amp;form=ENTLNK">Tarquinius Superbus</a>.<br>2. Around 509, the Romans expelled their Etruscan kings and established the <strong>Roman</strong> Republic, with <strong>3 branches</strong> of government.<br>3. This branch is bicameral, meaning it is made up of two parts. The Legislative branch is comprised of the Congress and the House of Representatives. Bills start out in the House and move onto the Senate if they are successful. This branch makes laws and elects judges.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1.Romans are famous for their <strong>advanced engineering accomplishments</strong>, although some of their own inventions were improvements on older ideas, concepts and inventions.&nbsp;<br>2.Technology for bringing running water into cities was developed in the east, but transformed by the Romans into a technology inconceivable in Greece.<br>3.The construction of Roman roads involved colossal works of engineering because not only bridges and tunnels, but also viaducts, had to be built wherever roads encountered major obstacles.
