I am writing this blog to you in order to inform you of my disappearance. It seems that I have traveled back in time and cannot find my way home. The years are growing larger, so I must be heading in the right direction. Along the way I have encountered a lot of strange and interesting things. The one thing that has brought me the most amount of joy has been the food I have eaten along the way. I will make note of it here in this blog if anyone happens to stumble upon it. At least you can know that along the way home I had some good food to eat.

My first stop

In 1776 is where I found myself first. This was an intentional pitstop. I wanted to see what our most famous founding fathers had to eat while they were fighting for our independence. James Madison liked buttered rolls with his Virginia ham and oysters. And for desert, he enjoyed apple pie. with ice cream!

Alexander Hamilton was not much different. Growing up his mother was known for making pork. And when he was in America, he grew to love southern made ice cream.

George Washington, due to his health, preferred soft foods. Cornmeal hot cakes, pudding, and even soups are something the first president of the United States was known for eating.

I made sure on my journey to try each one of their recipes and they did not disappoint!
