My evidence to support my point is that dogs require going outside for the toilet while a cat can to do his business indoors. In addition after dog walks it needs to be washed which is a lot of work. To explain my point cats are generally more independant animals because their ancestors were independant animals.

Research has proved that cats are calmer than dogs and don't need constant attention. Cats also have somewhat of a "healing power" since they reduce stress and anxiety in humans. For example when I'm with my cat, I feel more relaxed and less tense than when I'm without her. Cats are usually calmer than dogs and less playful which makes them good companions for people (me) who don't like being active.
