•    This course is set up to prevent students from completing a large portion of the course without feedback from me.    

•    FINAL COURSE MARKS: Courses with final marks will be submitted to the Ministry of Education by your homeschool.  These marks will be available within 4 business days of your teacher completing you out of the course.

Dear Students,

This is a reminder that attending your scheduled invigilation session is an important part of your course progress. If you do not attend your scheduled invigilation or fail to provide at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation, you will receive a call from the administration team. Additionally, your course progress may be impacted until you have spoken with an administrator.

Our invigilators have busy schedules, and last-minute cancellations affect all students by delaying available invigilation times. While we understand that emergencies can arise, cancellations should not become a regular occurrence.

Your attention to your scheduled invigilation times is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure a smooth process for all students.

MARKING TURNAROUND TIMES: In general, you can expect the following turnaround times for your assignments:

 1. IDEAL WORLD: submitted assignments returned within one week.

 2. TYPICAL WORLD: submitted assignments returned within two weeks.

 3. ATYPICAL WORLD: assignments returned more than two weeks after submission (marking workflow is disrupted by professional development, field trips, report cards, school holidays, illness, etc.)

From now until June tends to fall solidly in the ATYPICAL category, due to the number of students working diligently to finish by June. Note that if you have been working all semester or year on your course you are likely on track to finish by the June deadline. Please be patient, and if you're waiting on something to be marked that is necessary in order to proceed to a next assignment, send me a quick note in Bright Space Email.

If you are starting your course mid April you must schedule a meeting with me to discuss completion. Courses are designed to be finished over a semester.

Secondary Students and parents: please review the information below for some very important notes and answers to FAQ’s.

· If you have an urgent issue in which you cannot access a test that was booked in advance of the break, your invigilator will be able to guide you. If you have not communicated with an invigilator prior to the break, your test has not been booked.

· FINAL COURSE MARKS: Courses with final marks will be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Childcare by your home school. These marks will be available within 4 business days of when I complete you out of the course up until June 26, 2026.

· INTERIM MARKS: If you are a graduating student and you require your interim mark in this course to be available to any post-secondary institution(s), you must ensure that you have completed at least 50% of the course by April 15th. The 50% point is identified in the course. Once you have reached the 50% point, notify me that you are applying to a post-secondary institution in September. EBUS will submit your interim percentage directly to the Ministry of Education after April 15th.

· IF YOU PLAN TO USE THIS COURSE FOR JUNE 2026 GRADUATION, the ‘Guarantee Date’ for course completion is June 12, 2026 (The last day we guarantee that your completed course results will be available for your school via the MyEdBC student information system on or before June 30th). Please contact me if you have any concerns with this date.
