Friends reunion

I used to be best friends with two twin sisters from A Coruña, Galicia. We used to have a lot of things in common and we used to have fun together. Eventually, we grew apart and lost touch. Some years ago, we heard that The Pixies were giving a concert in Spain and we thought it would be a great idea to attend together. The concert was wonderful and since then, we have been best friends again!

Melendi`s concert

I used to share my musical tastes with my best friend but I loved Melendi and she used to like it but not much. My parents gave to me the tickets for his concert and I was very happy. But I wanted to go with her. Two weeks later she told me that his uncle gave him the tickets and both were excited to saw the concert. When we got to Gijon we was waiting to enter half and hour. Then the concert stated and we had a great time.

When I was Young, I wrote songs and then I used to sing It. I thought the lyrics and my mother wrote It. While I was singing, my cousing was dancing. I was very happy because I was a professional songwriter. I loved It!

I used to do concerts at home with my sister. We danced until we got tired. We used to dress up with fancy clothes and our parents used to film us. We had a lot of fun. Sometimes, we even invited our family to come and join us. My cousin used to bring make up and sometimes, she joined the show!

Team trips in bus

I used to hate going on bus trips.

But since my parents gave me a speaker it's very fun. I remember the last time that I was going on the bus with the rugby team, that we were all the trip listening to a playlist that the team had done with different songs. It's one of my best memories of a road trip.

In June of last year, I went to my very first concert. Hombres G were going on tour and they came to Gijón, so, my mom, who used to be a great a fan of this group, invited me to go to the concert with her and Mayte, one of her bestfriends. I also knew the band because their songs had appeared on a film.

There were lots of people at the concert. I sang all the songs and I had a great time!

This fish comes from central and eastern Europe originally, but has invaded areas in Spain, the UK, Turkey and China.

It's got a large head, an enormous mouth and whiskers. It can grow to be four metres long and weigh up to 180 kilograms.

Its crime is killing large numbers of native animals and desptroying the ecosystem.

Be carful if you want to catch one, they are very dangerous!

The pond slider comes from the USA and the northwest of Mexico, but has invaded some rivers around Spain. They can reach 20 or 30 cm of length, although it isn't common for them to exceed 25cm. Males are smaller but have longer nails and tail. Females reach a larger size than males, however they have much shorter tail and nails. They have a prominent red, orange or yellow spot on each side of the head.

Location invaded : In Europe and Japan.

Description: It has got a long black and white tail . The fur is black and the whiskers are white. It can weigh up to 9 kilograms.

Raccoons can have rabies and illnesses and can transmit them to humans, birds, horses... . It is a big problem for the ecosystem.

Warning: It is an endangered feline and because of that it won’t be easy to catch.

The Tiger mosquito is black with white stripes, it's size is between 5-10mm.

The crime committed by this mosquito is the transmission of a lot of diseases, malaria, yellow fever, the Denge virus.

This mosquito will probably be already in your towns, so beware of any pinch you feel.

They have invaded Florida, Hawaii, Australia and even more places. They are mostly brown coloured, their skin is dry and warty, they have enlarged glands behind the eyes and they can be from 15-25cm long. Its skin is very toxic and can kill many animals, so don’t try to touch them if you see one!

In 2100 there won't be any buildings because all the people will be living and working in domes. There will be less job oportunities because robots will be doing lots of things. All people will be using a transpot that can fly in the air, sail in the sea and drive on the roads. There won´t be any contamination and the atmosphere won't be contaminating.There will be many more green zone where people can practice sport and be more healthy.

These frogs are very hardy and they can live in many places. They eat everything, including the eggs of other animals, affecting local species. They can also transmit a fungus that is very dangerous for other frogs. In Spain, they have been detected in some areas where they have altered ecosystems. They often arrive because they are used in laboratories or as pets.

It is important to prevent these frogs from invading new places. By taking better care of the animals, we can protect nature.

Aviles in the future

I think that Avilés won't be a modern city in the future, I think it will be a place where old people and children will live, because young people will go to other cities searching work.

In this future, Avilés will be a quiet place, and the streets will be more lonely. Some shops will close, and the schools will have less students. The number of people in the city will be lower, because there will not be much work. The new generations will move to other cities. So there will be less young people. But it will be a city where you can sit on a chair and talk with your friends, or go to the market to buy things.

In the future I think that Aviles will be a city with less young people, but it will be quiet and beautiful.

Transport: We will be driving a spacecraft to travel from one planet to other. There won’t be any cars because everyone will be going by ``loix´´ to work and school for not pollute. It will be flying at the same time than will be cleaning the air.

The environment: In 2100 the ecosystem will be polluting with a lot of litter.

Language: We will be talking a new language the ``Sertu´´ for talk with aliens.

Residential areas: There won’t be any buildings. Everyone will be living in floating houses in the sky.

Planet: We will be living in the Moon because the Earth die for a war.

The transport will be energy clean. Also there will be no drivers in the cars. There will be a sort of app that is like uber but much faster (in terms of waiting for the car) it will also have the capacity of reserving a car for a day, a month, the time you need it.

I think that the languages will not vary a lot because it's a part of our culture.

The quality of life will be the same there will be poor, middle class and rich people this is because a lot of people want to keep it this way.

The enviroment will be much cleaner as hopefully a clean energy source will be in use. This would make the planet be much more stable again and people will have a much better health.

In 2100, Avilés won’t have any industries left, so because of this and the fact that we have a beautiful old town and also because the city is very close to the sea and the mountains, Avilés will become a very touristic village. Taking all this into account, the buildings in our city will be used as places where tourists can stay and there will also be more hotels so that they can also rest there. The means of transport will be improved because the connection with Gijón and Oviedo will be more frequent and faster than what they are nowadays. There will be a lot more of job opportunities because people will need to work at hotels, restaurants, as tour guides… Since Avilés won’t have industries anymore, the air won’t be polluted and so won’t be our river and that’s why a family of seals will be living here. This will also be an interesting touristic attraction. Last of all, the quality of life will also improve because the police will be controlling the city from robberies, thefts…

European Starling

The European Starling is native to Eurasia and North Africa, but when it comes to North America they are one of the most common examples of invasive species. They are very tiny birds with slim beaks and plump bodies. In the winter they a brown with white spots and in the summer they get a mix of purple and green color.

The bird is invasive in all of North America,

European Starlings are damaging in more than a few ways. They are the result of millions of dollars of lost crops.

I personally like the appearance of this bird, as I really like the color of its fur.

In my opinion, I think that until 2100 Aviles will change a lot. To begin with, cars will no longer drive on roads, and they won't pollute the city. They will have a system so that they can fly, but they will be ecological.

As for the buildings, I think they will become very tall skyscrapers. Also, there will be robots in every house so they can help you with the housework.

The mobile phone is also going to change, because now it will be a transparent screen that you hold in your hands.

Finally, I think we will become lazier people ourselves, because we won't have to take care of cleaning the house. By having our robots!

I think that in Aviles there will only be old people and the youngest person of Avilés Will be 70 years old. The Young people Will move to anothers cities that are more advanced. In Aviles Will be buildings and supermarkets but there won't be any clothes shop that's one of the reason of the Young people to move to another city. I think that there Will be normal Cars because the city won't be advanced.
