Before this reading and discussion, I had never heard this term before. Our freshman courses are full of "growth mindset" and "fixed mindset" concepts, but the idea that you can determine that you are wrong and be successful is never shared. I have reframed my thinking to reflect more of a committed tester ideology. Without keeping these biases in check, it becomes easy to make unfounded judgements about the world around us. 
When it comes to literacy this becomes a major issue, as we want to continue learning and challenging our, often unconscious, biases. My classmates shared their methods for teasing out biases and about where the roots of many of their perceptions come from. I had not previously considered employment or parental status to be a part of worldview, and therefore part of someone's bias, but that's because those are not big parts of my life right now. Choosing to be a committed tester is actually a great way to start this transfer. Children that can observe their own thinking (or begin to) are more likely to want to pursue what is true, rather than what they feel should be true.
