The book Mockingjay is the 3rd book in the Hunger Games series. I loved the first book so, I decided to read the rest of the books in that series too. The entire idea of these books was very interesting. I liked the idea of districts, the games them self and, the advanced technology. Some parts in the book are a little bit sad or scary but it's still a good book. Although I liked this book I do like the first book the most and would recommend the entire series to anyone who likes these types of books.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie Diary is a short read that I decided to read in my free time over the summer. It gives you inside information that most books and movies don't tell people. I liked learning about how people make movies and how they made specific scenes in movies. One example was how to film a rainy day when it is actually sunny outside. Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie Diary was a fun, interesting, and an informative book to read.

This was the book I chose for the mystery project I had to do in class. I had heard from other people that it was a good mystery book, so I decided to read it myself. It turns out it was a good book about a girl who's father disappears and gets trapped in the middle of a criminal act. Then she decides to figure out clues and rhythms herself to find out what happened to her dad while facing many challenges along the way.

Twilight is a very interesting book with a different idea around it.

Eclipse, the third book of the Twilight series, is another good book I read. Although I liked the first book more than this one. The main problem in the story is during a vampire fight, when the main character Bella, has to choose who she would rather be with: her boyfriend, Edward or her best friend, Jacob. This was another book I would recommend and I'm excited to get Breaking Dawn and read that next.

Therefore I chose this book which had an interesting summary to me. I liked this book very much and thought it was fun because the author made it in two different people's perspective so we could tell what each person was thinking. The main story in this book was how the Japanese controlled all Koreans during World War II. In my opinion it was a very interesting topic because my dad came from Japan and I liked learning more about WWII.

It gave you an idea of how life would be in the 1900's as a greaser which was very interesting. Also there was action right from the start when Ponyboy gets jumped be the Socs. Therefore if you like that type of reading The Outsiders is definitely for you.

It tells a story about three different people who in the end reveal their true identities to help each other. I liked it, but towards the end I got confused so I had to reread a couple of parts to really understand what was going on. Still I think this was a great book and definitely deserves the award it got below.

After at least one month I finally finished the fourth book of the twilight saga; Breaking Dawn. I have to say it was a very long book and was not that exciting for the most part. There were some parts of the book I thought were very creative but other chapters were just boring to me. One thing I did like was that it was in two people's perspective(Bella and Jacob) unlike Stephenie Meyer's other books. It might have taken me longer to read it however I had to get it done because I wanted to see what happened to Bella and the rest of her vampire family in the end. Then I can read my next book.

The Serpent's Shadow is the third and final book of the Kane Chronicles which are also known as the Red Pyramid Series. It is written very well by the great author Rick Riordan. It all starts in the 51st Nome, Dallas Texas, where Apophis destroyed the last possible way that the siblings, Sadie and Carter, could’ve used to defeat Apophis himself. This means that chaos is starting to take over the world piece by piece. Sadie and Carter then decided to split up to work together and take clues to the next level to defeat Apophis. The task that Sadie and Walt took on, was to find their friend Bes’ shadow to bring his soul back to life. Together they had to survive the challenge that the hunting goddess Neith faced them with.

On the other hand, Carter and Zia worked with the ghost named Setne to capture Apophis’ shadow. They took a long journey to the Duat and went to the Land of Demons to get the last thing that could excrete Apophis from existence. Then the two pairs had to join forces with the gods to defeat the main enemy: Apophis.

Overall I think Rick Riordan did a great job with this series and especially The Serpent’s Shadow because it combined romance and action while incorporating bits Egypt, all creating one final ending for this great series, (which you should totally read).

A couple years ago in 5th grade, I read the first book in this seven book series an I was instantly hooked. I read every book but it took the author a couple more years to write the last two books. The Unwanteds is a group of people who are unwanted because they are too creative to live in the boring world of Quill so they are sentenced to death but, when they go to the death place it turns to the magical world of Artime where they live and learn magic. The Unwanteds Island of Graves is about Alex, the leader of Artime, and his friends that save a girl from a jaguar-gorilla filled island. It was very good and I can't wait to finish the series.

The Uglies was a book suggested to me from my librarian so I took her advice and started the series. It is a science fiction book about a girl named Tally. Her world is based on technology. All her life she has been an "ugly" but on her 16th birthday she finally gets the chance of a lifetime to go through an operation she's wanted so badly to make her "pretty." However, just before that, she meets someone who might just change her mind. This book was pretty good overall I think it has an interesting story line but it was a little boring at parts. I can't wait to read the next book in the series The Pretties.

This book was one I read for literature circles. It is a great book about the immigrant/refugee experience that I would highly recommend. The book is about a boy named Fadi and his family who were living in Afghanistan who is seeking protection in the US. His family had to illegally cross the border so they could take a plane to the United States. However, along the way, Fadi loses his sister Mariam and they go to the US without her. Then he has to deal with the struggles of coming to a new country and I don't want to spoil it too much so you should definitely read it for yourself.

I originally heard about this book from recommendations from several people. However, I never got to read it because I was always in the middle of a different book. Finally, I found a time to read it while I wasn't lost in another book. It is about a boy named Quinn who's next door neighbor, Margo. One day Margo just disappears. She had done this many times in the past but for some reason, Quinn thought that he had to solve the mystery, find Margo, and bring her back. Overall, it was a good book that I really liked because it was fast paced and always made you think on your feet.

City of Bones was a book recommended to me by multiple people. Looking at the cover I didn't really think I would like it, but it turns out, I was wrong. It was very interesting, intense, and different which I really appreciated because I haven't read a really good book for about 3 months. City of Bones was a mix of fantasy and adventure. In it, Clary's life changes in an instant when her mom disappears and she finds out her life was a lie. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Beauty Queens is a survival book about a bunch of Miss Teen Dreamers that end up stranded on an island. There, they have to work together with the things they have to survive until they can be rescued. In my opinion, it was not a very good book. I thought that the plot of the story didn't make much sense and there were too many undeveloped characters that just got confusing. Overall, I feel that I was disappointed with this book and wouldn't reccomend it.
