This organization raises money to help plant trees around the world. They also have a nursery and for a $10 donation they will send 10 trees to supporters. This organization is a valuable resource to teach learners about the different varieties of trees, their historical significance and origins. The information about the trees helps learners learn the scientific and common names of the trees. It also breaks down the different characteristics and growing needs of the various varieties. Learners can also figure out what agricultural zone they live in to grow specific trees. Teachers and students can make a donation to the organization and order trees to plant at the school to create a tree farm. This is a valuable resource to get students outdoors and gives them a sense of ownership, pride and teaches them how to care for living beings. Getting people to nature is very important to help learners respect nature.
