Luz Marie: Why did you choose a career in science?

Lyann: My love for Chemistry began in tenth grade. I always wanted to help or improve the world around me. My father always taught me that chemistry is everywhere and that is up to me to make those changes. The world is like a mystery theirs so much too explore and create in order to benefit humankind. My goal is to become a chemical engineer in the future because I want to transform raw matter or chemicals into a more valuable useful product.

Luz Marie: What field of science are you currently working or studying in?

Lyann: I’m currently finishing my associate degree in chemical technology at the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao campus.

Luz Marie: What would you like to do next in your work or studies?
