Shape- Solids come in a lot of different shapes but solids have fixed positions therefore solids 
can’t change shape.

Volume- The volume of a solid is the measure of how much space an object takes up. It is 
measured by the number of unit cubes it takes to fill up the solid. 

Molecular Movement- The particles in a solid have very small vibrations causing them to 
become a solid.

Additional facts and interesting things-  

  1. Some solids can turn into liquids. 
  2.  Solids can’t change shape.

VOLUME
The volume of a system is a key part for reporting its thermodynamic state. As the volume increases, the pressure decreases, and vise versa. For example, if you have a balloon, and you press on it hard, the balloons pressure rises.

Gases molecular movement 

The particles in Gases don’t have a specific movement pattern the particles are in a state of consistent random motion. Gas particles constantly collide with each other and the walls in their container. These collisions are elastic, meaning there is no net loss of energy from the collisons.
