MANDATORY -- 1st year -- Why do you want to be a nurse? When did you decide you wanted to be a nurse? Did anyone or anything influence your decision?

I decided to undertake this path to become a nurse because I always liked the idea of helping others. This interest for the nursing's world began with the arrival of COVID 19 and from that moment forward it got me more and more involved: witnessing all the deaths that it was causing I started informing myself over the causes of the virus and the possible treatments. Because of the virus I also lost my uncle, making me feel helpless in front of that. Seeing how all those medics and nurses in the hospitals were fighting against death itself I saw them as heroes and felt that I wanted to be a part of them. My brother has been decisive in the choice I made: he gratuaded during the pandemic witch a thesis on COVID 19 and he started working right away in that context, becoming one of those heroes, which I can't wait to become too.
