The tone of the book leans more towards suspense. Throughout reading the book i had to make many guesses of who the killer was which would all turn out wrong, the book kept me on my toes, so i feel like the author was trying to keep the readers guessing to have their interest peeked through the whole book.

This book involves a high school girl named Pippa who is solving a murder case trying to find evidence to prove that a boy named Sal Singh did not kill Andie Bell. Throughout this journey with the help of Sals brother Ravi she uncovering many dark secrets that has not ever been told. While trying to solve this closed case she faced many dangerous situations where her life and her family’s were put at risk. She also had to do her college essay where she writes about herself but pip did not know who she was, and this case helped her find it.
