Homophobic/transphobic/xenophobic things (treating people who were different in horrible ways). Depression and how it affects us (especially untreated mental illnesses). Stories of children being killed or of car crashes and people not living full lives. How painful my house felt after my sister's death. OH AND YEAH I AGREE WITH THE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS THING

I think the most upsetting thing that has happened in my life time, sadly more than once, is a school shooting. Sadly this happens more then we think, but what really go my attention was the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. I was watching the news early on that morning and they cut into the scene in NYC where a plane had crashed into the first tower. I thought it was just an accident, and I think the news media did, too. Just minutes later, a second plane crashed into the other tower and it became clear that something way worse was happening. It was upsetting and scary not knowing what would happen next in the country. One of the most disturbing storys I’ve herd is about the nypd explorer who got brutally stabbed for a mistaken identity. He was just a teen and was a police explorer for the New York police department in bronx. He was stabbed brutally and was killed by the stabb wounds. He was using the for fighting and many of the dogs they saved were close to death. Other dogs were found around the property already dead. The dogs were kept in small cages and were only let out to fight. When the dogs got to the shelter they were kept alive for a week or two but then had to all be put down because of there aggressive behavior. This was extremely hard for me to watch because the dogs didn’t choice this. Was the boarderline shooting at a Bar in Thousand Oaks. There was a band playing, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band called “Twisted Gypsy’ who I have seen about three times. A man came in with a gun, and shot and killed 12 people (6 of which were the band members dearest friends) This was so devastating, because it would have been absolutely terrible if someone from the band had gotten shot on stage.
