Asamualaikkum and hi! For week 1, we had two agendas which is to introduce ourselves and then Sr. Raudah told me and my friends to share our daily doa's and some surah infront the others so that other people will also get to know the benefits of the surah and doa's also to encourage people to practice doa's and these surahs in our daily life.

Our Group Task

After that, Sr. Raudah also told us to divide in group for about four to five people per group and do an acting based on one of our main topic which is Adab in Seeking Knowledge.

Sr. Raudah told us to make main topic of our acting group based on the topic Adab in Seeking Knowledge.

So we choose 'Sincere Intention' in Adab in Seeking Knowledge.

There are also other topics that choosen from other groups such as

-Respect Parents

-Respect Teachers

-Recite a prayer before studying

-Be humble and don't be arrogant

-Pay attention in studying

Second, the other topic is Al-Quran as Book of Guidance and Sr Raudah asking us what's the true meaning of ayat 9 in Surah Al-Isra..

The meaning:

Surely this Quran guides to what is most upright, and gives good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a mighty reward.

One of us said it was a kind of guidance book for human and it's actually true. Sr. Raudah explained more about it, that Muslim people who doesn't read Al- Quran on their daily life is called as 'Fasik' because a Muslim without al-Quran in their mind is just a soulless or a body without a faith or more accurately just a Muslim on IC. It is because everything that we do must be concides with Islamic Sharia so if we didn't read al-Quran, how are we supposed to know things that prohibited from our religion and things that we need to do according to our religion?

That's all from me for Usrah Week 1!

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! So for week 2, we had one agenda which is to study the real meaning behind Hadith Jibril:

One day while we were sitting with the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ there appeared

before us a man whose clothes were exceedingly white and whose hair was

exceedingly black; no signs of journey were to be seen on him and none of us knew

him. He walked up and sat down in front of the Prophet ﷺ, with his knees

touching against the Prophet's ﷺ and placing the palms of his hands on his thighs

he said:

“O Muhammad, tell me about Islaam.”

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “Islaam is to testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allaah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, to perform prayers, to give zakaah, to fast in Ramadaan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so.”

He said: “You have spoken rightly”; and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly.

Cont…

He (the man) said: “Tell me about Eemaan.”

He (the Prophet, ﷺ) replied: “It is to believe in Allaah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny (qadr), both the good and the evil of it.”

He said: “You have spoken rightly.”

He (the man) said: “Then tell me about Ihsaan.”

He (the Prophet, ﷺ) replied: “It is to worship Allaah as though you see Him, and if you do not see Him, then (knowing that) truly He sees you.”

He said: “Then tell me about the Hour.”

He ﷺ replied: “The one questioned about it knows no better than the questioner.”

He said: “Then tell me about its signs.”

He ﷺ replied: “That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress, and that you will see barefooted, naked destitute shepherds competing in constructing lofty buildings.”

Then he (the man) left, and I stayed for a time. The he ﷺ said: “O `Umar, do you know who

the questioner was?”

I said: “Allaah and His Messenger know best.”

He said: “It was Jibreel, who came to teach you your religion.”

It was related by Muslim.

1.HADITH JIBRIL:

وﻋﻦ ﻋﻤﺮ ﺑﻦ اﻟﺨﻄﺎب رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ ﻋﻨﮫ -أﯾﻀًﺎ- ﻗﺎل: )ﺑﯿﻨﻤﺎ ﻧﺤﻦ

•

ﺟﻠﻮس ﻋﻨﺪ رﺳﻮل ﷲ ﷺ إذ طﻠﻊ ﻋﻠﯿﻨﺎ رﺟﻞ ﺷﺪﯾﺪ ﺑﯿﺎض اﻟﺜﯿﺎب،

ﺷﺪﯾﺪ ﺳﻮاد اﻟﺸﻌﺮ، ﻻ ﯾﺮى ﻋﻠﯿﮫ أﺛﺮ اﻟﺴﻔﺮ، وﻻ ﯾﻌﺮﻓﮫ ﻣﻨﺎ أﺣﺪ، ﻓﺠﻠﺲ

إﻟﻰ اﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﷺ، ﻓﺄﺳﻨﺪ رﻛﺒﺘﯿﮫ إﻟﻰ رﻛﺒﺘﯿﮫ، ووﺿﻊ ﻛﻔﯿﮫ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻓﺨﺬﯾﮫ،

وﻗﺎل: ﯾﺎ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ! أﺧﺒﺮﻧﻲ ﻋﻦ اﻹﺳﻼم؟

•

وﺑﺎﻟﻘﺪر ﺧﯿﺮه وﺷﺮه.

ﻗﺎل: ﺻﺪﻗﺖ.

ﻗﺎل: ﻓﺄﺧﺒﺮﻧ ﻋﻦ اﻟﺴﺎﻋﺔ؟ ﻗﺎل: ﻣﺎ اﻟﻤﺴﺌﻮل ﻋﻨﮭﺎ ﺑﺄﻋﻠﻢ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺴﺎﺋﻞ ﻗﺎل: ﻓﺄﺧﺒﺮﻧﻲ ﻋﻦ اﻹ

So from what i understand behind this hadith is:

• A mysterious man (Jibreel in disguise) came to the Prophet ﷺ to teach the core of Islam.

• Islam: Outward actions – Shahadah, prayer, zakah, fasting, hajj.

• Iman: Inner beliefs – belief in Allah, angels, books, messengers, Last Day, and destiny.

• Ihsan: Excellence – worship Allah as though you see Him, and know He sees you.

• The Hour: Its exact time is unknown to all except Allah.

• Signs of the Hour: social upheaval (children dishonouring parents) and poor shepherds competing in tall buildings.

• The Prophet ﷺ explained this was Jibreel, who came to teach the religion in a complete, structured way.

Essence: Islam = body (actions), Iman = heart (belief), Ihsan = soul (excellence). Together, they form the full religion.

Lastly, Sr Raudah divide us into form of groups which had seven to eight members each and give us some sentences regarding the significances of the hadith:

Jibril as a teacher because he came as a questionel others not to learn himself

Prophet SAW explained faith, Islam and Ihsan and also mentioned signs of the Hour and its inclination.

Jibril was knowledgeable in that regard so that's why he would say "You have spoken the truth" to Prophet SAW

Provide comprehensive insight into the core of faith, worship and the unseen.

So we played a game called a Broken Radio where the first person in the group need to memorize a piece of paper that have one of the sentences above for few minutes before pass the sentence to the other members by turn on what the first person remember.

The last person in the group will have to write down on the whiteboard on what she heard from the member before her.

This game encourage us to build a teamwork also create a bounding between usrah members as it made us acted goofy, excited as well as knowing the true meaning behind the Hadith Jibril.

From what i got from usrah this week is i got create a bounding between my usrah members also have fun while learning what's the true meaning from Hadith Jibril which is Islam, Iman, Ihsan and its inclination.

What i hope for usrah next week is i hope that i finally can get along with my other usrah members.

Belief in Allah, Malaikah and Kutub

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! For week 3 we were told to understand the meaning of this hadith:

One day while we were sitting with the messenger of Allah there appeared before us a man whose clothes were exceedingly white and whose hair was exceedingly black; no signs of journeying were to be seen on him and none of us knew him. He walked up and sat down by the prophet. Resting his knees against his and placing the palms of his hands on his thighs,

he said:"O Muhammed, tell me about Islam". The messenger of Allah said: "Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammed is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers, to pay the zakat, to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so." He said:"You have spoken rightly", and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly. He said:

"Then tell me about iman."He said:"It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof." He said:"You have spoken rightly".

He said: "

Then tell me about ehsan." He said: "It is to worship Allah as though you are seeing Him, and while you see Him not yet truly He sees you". He said: "Then tell me about the Hour". He said: "The one questioned about it knows no better than the questioner."

He said: "Then tell me about its signs." He said: "That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute herdsman competing in constructing lofty buildings." Then he took himself off and I stayed for a time. Then he said: "O Omar, do you know who the questioner was?" | said: "Allah and His messenger know best". He said: "He was Jebreel (Gabriel), who came to you to teach you your religion."

Sr Raudah told us to form a group of chairs as we are going to play grab a chair and sit on it as we are going to remove one chair per round and the one who doesn't have a chaie to sit will be given a question regarding the topic that Sr Raudah already explained to us.

It was actually fun and challenging as we got to train ourselves to be faster in action as well as gained more knowledges through our usrah members answer regarding the topic The Pillars of Iman.

I hope next week usrah will be this fun again!!

Usrah Week 4: Islamic Belief

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! For week 4, we had one agenda which is three Islamic Belief:

1. Belief in Qada’ and Qadar (Divine Decree and Predestination)

• This means believing that everything that happens in the universe is by Allah’s will and knowledge.

• Allah already knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen.

• Qada’ means Allah’s final decision (the outcome), while Qadar refers to Allah’s pre-decree and measurement of everything.

• However, humans are still given free will to make choices. We are responsible for our actions, but nothing happens outside of Allah’s plan.

• Example: If someone works hard and succeeds, that success happens by Allah’s will — but the person still had to choose to work.

⸻

2. Belief in Rasul and Anbiya (Messengers and Prophets)

• Allah sent many prophets (anbiya) and messengers (rusul) to guide mankind.

• Prophets: Chosen by Allah, receive revelation, and guide their own people.

• Messengers: A special kind of prophet who is given a new law (Shari‘ah) to deliver.

• Muslims believe in all prophets mentioned in the Qur’an, such as Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and finally Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the last messenger.

• The purpose of prophets and messengers is to teach people about Tawhid (oneness of Allah) and the correct way of life.

⸻

3. Belief in the Hereafter (Akhirah)

• This means believing that life does not end with death.

• After death, everyone will be resurrected and judged by Allah.

• Those who believed and did good will be rewarded with Paradise (Jannah).

• Those who disbelieved and did evil will face punishment in Hell (Jahannam).

• It also includes belief in events of the afterlife: the grave, resurrection, Day of Judgment, the scales, Sirat bridge, intercession, and eternal life in the hereafter.

⸻

✨ In short:

• Qada’ and Qadar = Allah’s plan and decree.

• Rasul and Anbiya = Allah’s chosen guides for humanity.

• Hereafter = Life after death, where we face the results of our deeds.

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! For week 6, we had one agenda which is learning the real meaning of Adab.

In Islam, adab (manners, etiquette, respect) towards parents is considered one of the most important duties after worshipping Allah. The Qur’an and Hadith stress greatly on showing kindness, respect, and obedience to parents. Here’s a clear explanation:

⸻

1. Obedience to Parents

	•	Children are required to obey their parents in all matters as long as it does not go against the teachings of Islam.

	•	For example: if parents ask you to pray, study, or do something beneficial, you should listen. But if they ask to do something haram (forbidden), you must politely refuse.

⸻

2. Speaking Kindly

	•	Allah commands: “And do not say to them ‘uff’ (a word of disrespect), nor repel them, but speak to them a noble word.” (Surah Al-Isra’ 17:23)

	•	This means never raising your voice, arguing harshly, or being rude to your parents. Always use gentle, respectful words.

⸻

3. Serving and Helping Them

	•	Parents raised us with sacrifice and care; therefore, it is part of adab to help them in daily tasks, provide for them when they are old, and ease their burdens.

	•	Serving them is considered an act of worship.

⸻

4. Praying for Them

	•	Even if parents have passed away, children should continue making du‘a:

“My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.” (Surah Al-Isra’ 17:24)

	•	This shows gratitude and maintains the bond of love.

⸻

5. Being Patient and Gentle, Especially in Old Age

	•	Parents may become weak, repeat things, or get easily upset in old age. Adab is to treat them with patience, never showing annoyance.

	•	Serving them in their old age is seen as a great blessing and chance for Jannah.

⸻

6. Prioritizing Them Over Others (after Allah and His Messenger ﷺ)

	•	The Prophet ﷺ was asked: “Who is most deserving of my good company?” He replied: “Your mother.” Then again: “Your mother.” Then again: “Your mother.” Then he said: “Your father.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

	•	This shows the high status of parents, especially mothers.

⸻

✨ In summary: Adab with parents means obeying them, speaking kindly, helping them, making du‘a for them, and being patient and respectful always. It is one of the shortest paths to Allah’s pleasure and Jannah

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! this is our role-play poster regarding the Hikmah topic which is why do we need to study more to improve our amal.

Strengthen Faith

-Knowledge deepens our understand of Allah and increases our Iman.

• Explanation: When we study Islam more—through Qur’an, Hadith, and authentic sources—we gain a stronger understanding of Allah’s greatness, mercy, and wisdom.

• This deeper knowledge increases our iman (faith), because the more we know about Allah, the more we recognize His power and love, and the more devoted we become.

• Example: Learning about Allah’s names and attributes (Asma’ul Husna) makes us feel closer to Him and strengthens our trust in Him.

2.Correct Practice

-Learning ensures our worship like salah, fasting, zakat is done properly.

• Explanation: Knowledge helps us to perform our ibadah (worship) properly. Without knowledge, we may make mistakes in salah (prayer), fasting, zakat, or hajj.

• Studying ensures we follow the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ correctly, instead of doing rituals out of habit or culture.

• Example: Knowing the rulings of wudhu’ prevents invalid prayer; learning the conditions of zakat ensures it is distributed properly to those in need.

3. Protect from Misguidance

-Knowledge helps us avoid sins and wrong belief

• Explanation: True Islamic knowledge is not only about rituals but also about akhlaq (good manners). The Prophet ﷺ emphasized that the best among us are those with the best character.

• When we learn Islam, we understand values like honesty, patience, kindness, respect, and humility.

• Example: Learning the Prophet’s ﷺ patience with hardships or his mercy towards others inspires us to follow his example in daily life.

4. Inspire Better Character

-Islamic knowledge natures good akhlak and manners.

• Explanation: Lack of knowledge can lead us to wrong beliefs or sinful actions, sometimes without even realizing it.

• Knowledge protects us from bid’ah (innovations), shirk (associating partners with Allah), and false ideologies.

• Example: By studying, we know that wearing charms for protection is not Islamic; only Allah grants protection.

Bring us closer to Allah

-Acting upon knowledge turns seeds into sincere ibadah.

• Explanation: Knowledge is not just about knowing—it’s about acting upon it. When we apply what we learn, our deeds become sincere worship (ibadah).

• Knowledge helps us do things with the right intention (niyyah), turning everyday actions into acts of worship.

• Example: Eating with the sunnah manners (starting with Bismillah, using the right hand) turns a simple act of eating into ibadah.

⸻

Qur’anic Proof

The poster ends with the verse from Surah Fatir (35:28):

“Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge.”

This shows that real fear of Allah (taqwa) comes from true understanding, which can only be gained through knowledge.

Disclaimer!!

My role is to present the third point of why do we need to study to improve our amal which is Protect from Misguidance as i need to find the elaboration related to that point on how knowledge helps us avoid sins and wrong beliefs.
