I want my classmates to know that I am shy. I would also like people to know that I really love animals. I have 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, a fish, snails, turtle, ball python and a chameleon. I also love gaming.

One kind of artistic media that I am interested in learning about is digital art. I would like to learn how to use digital art programs on a PC. Also, I would like to be able to draw for personal use.

I created this piece using Pixilart. I used value in the area surrounding the heart. I also used the bucket tool to fill in larger areas of color. I enjoyed using the pencil tool to create the puzzle piece and the arms. I chose to use a snowman because they are cute.

 

My art means that am a caring person because of the heart. The puzzle piece symbolizes my uniqueness. The game controller represents that I love gaming.

 

After completing this piece, I learned that a self portrait does not mean that the portrait has to be of my face.

 

To create these pieces, I used pencil and Pixilart. 

 

On the still life drawing I spent time making sure the shadows were accurate of what I was drawing. Also, I made sure that I used the rule of thirds so that the viewer’s eye would be drawn to the appropriate areas. Additionally, I used the rule of odds to make the picture more interesting.

 

On the life drawing, I used toned paper (background). I wanted a dark color to make the sword and the pickaxe pop out more. I purposely wanted there to be more space in the drawing so the items would not look crowded. I focused on the highlights on the sword and the pickaxe. I feel that this makes them stand out.

 

These art pieces are meant to be fun to look at. I think that they look good. They are a reminder to me that we all need to take time to play.

 

If I could do these pieces again, I would not change anything. These are some pieces that I am happy about the way they are, just like me.

 

To create this piece I used Aggie Io.

 

I did use the rule of odds when I made this piece. I think that it gives the picture a nice balance.  Also, I made these using a lighter color value. It makes the colors pop against the light background.  I chose not to use a toned background. I wanted it to be white on purpose so the focus is on the buildings and not on the background.
 

If I could do these pieces again, I would make the original canvas larger and I would add more buildings.

 

I created this piece using using a photograph from the Honor Bell website.  For editing purposes, I used Aggie.Io. 

I used pink, purple and two different shades of blue to achieve the desired highlights in the photo. I enjoyed using the different colored layers as it helped me to remember the type of person that Michelle was. I wanted a happy photo because she was a happy person. The value for my colors was intended to be bright. Two of the colors were meant to be slightly darker. I think the various combinations make for a striking photo.

After completing this piece, I think that Michelle would have loved it.  She was a bright person who loved bright and happy things. I think she already has seen it and loves it.
