This monthly stipend will help pay their workers for a year. Women farmers will also  collaborate with local schools to teach youth that women are  capable of managing a successful farm and providing healthy foods. Mary Luz from Nicaragua had no idea how to run her family's farm and her husband took over after her father died but with the support of the Zero Hunger Program, Mary Luz learned that it's ok to work in agriculture to make her farm thrive. I connected to Mary Luz' self-determination because where there's a will, there is a way.
