These groups, including largely FRIDA Ukraine, aren't just offering medical aid to those wounded on the front, but are particularly offering specialty treatment to Ukrainian civilians whose access to regular treatment has been severely cut since the onset of Russia's invasion of its neighbor. Currently set up in Khrestyshche, in the central Kharkiv Oblast, these volunteer medical personnel are working incredibly close to the North Eastern front line, and are well within Russian cruise missile range, but they stay to offer their free services to those who are entangled in the middle of this terrible conflict. These are people who help others simply because they believe it needs to be done.
