If you know how much memory your computer has, ideally, assigned half of it to your VM. If you don't know how much memory your computer has, leave the memory size as default. Leave "Hard Disk" as default, unless you have a prior VM setup that you would like to assign to this VM.

Have you ever needed to use a different operating system than you currently use? Do you primarily use Microsoft Windows, but need MacOS or Linux? This is a common experience for educators and students within the technical field. Educators needing to create content for a course or lesson often require access to operating systems and software they do not have. Virtual machines aid in this dilemma. I suggest trying VirtualBox by Oracle. It is open-source, meaning it's free to everyone and cross-platform, accommodating MacOS, Windows, and Linux. Let me explain how to download VirtualBox and create a VM (Virtual Machine).
