Pop one day decided to end his affair but Adelonda wouldn’t go away quietly. She was well connected with the criminal world and threatened to tell Pop’s family if he didn’t pay her off. He paid her hush money for years on end until he had enough and cut her off 2 months before Nancy and Hazel’s cross-country road trip. Even though she is connected in the criminal world, I don't think she is the perpetrator for it was unlikely that she knew the whereabouts of the Frome women, in order to organize a hit on them.

They planned to take a scenic route going through Arizona, then to El Paso, and then Texas. They planned to drive for six days and arrive at their destination on Tuesday, March 29th.

Their car was then stowed and Nancy was inspected by the doctor-on- call for their hotel, Dr. Wolfgang Ebell who was a German doctor. He most likely learned of Pop’s Frome’s prestigious job at the Atlas Power Company. Dr. Ebell’s medical practice was the perfect cover for his real occupation, of being one of Hitler’s spies. I don't think he is the perpetrator because he had to keep a cover and killing two women wouldn't benefit him in his beliefs.

Hazel took a trip to the hair salon. The parts needed to fix the car arrived. Later that night they took a trolley back to Juarez and ate dinner at the Spanish Town Cafe and then went to a nearby club. Testimonies were given that the Frome women were chatting with 2 men with foreign accents. One of them was Romano Trotsky, a con-man and criminal with little moral obligations. He undoubtedly learned the details of their trip and identity of Pop Frome and felt distraught and angry about his position in America corporate. I think that Romano was full of hatred and killed Nancy and Hazel in order to get revenge on American corporations. He had little regard for other people as shown in his criminal history and he was in company of the oversharing Frome’s the night before.

The Frome’s narrowly escaped the overlay unharmed. They were headed straight to Dallas but never made it. I believe they shared their road trip plans and Romano and he left a letter telling them to take a short cut or something to manipulate their travels and caught them on their travels to kill them in cold blood. Manuel Garcia and Pancho Flores were thought to be suspects since they were part of a gang and seen riding suspiciously at a gallop but I think they were just passing by and had no reason to kill two random women driving by.

They appeared to be tortured and were both shot in the side of the head. They were found by Jim Milam who later became a suspect when he claimed that he saw the women driving the Packard days before. I think this was just a coincidence or a false eye-witness testimony for he wouldn't want to draw attention to himself by finding them if he did kill them.

He was chronically broke and a con-man with little moral obligations. He was known to be a manipulator and probably manipulated the Frome woman into telling him about their future whereabouts. He motive was probably to rob them and get revenge on American corporations by harming a high ups family. He might've tortured them because they put up a fight and he might've had other motives since they seemed like easy women.
