You provide the students with the situation they need to think and talk about. They need to imagine the situation in which they have 1 million dollars, what are they going to do? The second option is they are going to an island, they need to decide what to take with them, maybe who will accompany them and what they will do there. We can all look silly together! Usually I use this as an activity when I have an extra few minutes at the end of class. I show a tongue twister, demonstrate it myself, and give all the students some time to practice. Then, one by one, really quickly each student will stand and recite the tongue twister as best they can. Each student is paired up, and for 1 minute they have to talk to each other about a topic. After 1 minute, pairs are shuffled and another topic is discussed.
