My name is Jolena but most people call me Jo. I went to Everett Community College and played volleyball for the past two years. This is technically my "first year" at Eastern but I am coming in as a junior.

My background has always included sports. I have played volleyball for the past eight years, since I am no longer playing I am excited to be able to just focus on school. I love going on hikes with my mom and going to the gym.

I recently just got done coaching middle school volleyball and that is what brought me to education. I really like that age, mainly because they are brutally honest and so funny. I want to teach middle school math.

I am not vary familiar with special education. I have interacted with children with special needs but never on a teacher-student level.
