A women's dress in Zimbabwe represent the women's status in the community and age. A traditional married women wears a blanket over her shoulders with a lot of thick beaded hoops of twisted grass, called "isigolwani" around her neck and legs. Men in Zimbabwe wear breastplates. Men also wear head bands and ankle bands made from animal skin. To stay warm they wear "karos" around their shoulders. For rituals and ceremonies men wear ornaments made for them by their wives.
