Sloane:

Changeling, when relaxed she changes into the normal form for changelings. She was a waif in a family of 5. Two older twins one girl and one boy. Three younger kids 10b 7g 5b. Sloane has a British accent and a knowledgeable demeanor. However when she is frightened or under stress her mind is usually blank. The doyen did not like that she was not a human. The fact that she was proud of it bothered him so he made up a prophecy that she must be sent out to the woods beaten and starved. The one to help her would be her death.

Hayes: Elf, he’s a guard to the royal family. Meant to be hard and cold blooded to other creatures. Really nice. If he had a chance to save an innocent with his life,he would.  He is... think Elis but makes good decisions.His flaws include being to indecisive but has his own ideas. Sometimes he just doesn’t like the environment around him but he suppresses those ideas.

Lucian: Elf, he's a general to the royal family, sibling to Hayes as Hayes’s older brother he got Hayes a job at the castle as a guard.

Isla:
Elf, she is 11 years old and daughter of the king and queen of the elves. Often the seems like a perfect little princes but sometimes when she isn’t on court or around her parents she is just a kid. She is really kind and funny when she is herself but around her parents her eyes dull and she is pretty bland and monotonous agreeing with everything her parents say.

Waif: Orphan or adopted one

Doyen: Elder, typically a male

Changeling: Normally abandoned upon birth, a purple scaled humanoid in relaxed form

Elf: An advanced species. They have ranks and royals. They have the ideas that any creature is lesser than them and if a creature is unfortunate enough to wander into their forest the family takes them and puts them in a jar like a pet. If you are suspected of treason you were to be dishonored and a social outcast. The royal family contains three people. The king, the queen and their tween daughter Isla.

Titan arum: Also known as the Corpse Flower.(Actually a real thing) They grow every 7 years and stink like no ones business. In the story they can sever ties made by blood healing. (Need to find a better name for that.) But they are really rare. So it normally isn't thought of.

Blood healing: The fancy way of saying you use an Athame and your magic to heal another being with blood. If the blood healing is done wrong both organisms die. It connects the two organisms until death. If one gets hurt while connected the other feels the pain. The connection can only be severed with Titan arum.

Athame: Ritual knife used to advance magic.

1: The two meet in the forest. Sloan is scared and hurt, she had been in the forest for a few days now. Hayes was out trying to find the Ogre the had tried to escape not that he wanted to. Of course as one of the Guards of the family he can't voice those opinions because he would be considered a traitor. So basically they meet and Sloan is broken and just accepts whatever he does to her. Hayes, concerned for this creatures well and not wanting another 'animal' in the zoo being he almost leaves her there than Lucian comes in and says that the family needs Hayes. Upon seeing Hayes he proceeds to knock her out and take her to the family.

2: Lucian and Hayes find their way into the city. Lucian holding Sloan by the feet and dragging her. Once at the palace the royal family see them and immediately are in love with the human who looked like changeling. They decide to keep her with them in the throne room chained to a poll but otherwise happy. Once she is sent away with Lucian the family addresses Hayes. But we don't know what they say.

3: As Hayes is leaving the throne room he sees the keepers of the prisoners leading a docile submissive Sloan to the throne room. She looks at him with large dark eyes and he almost calls out to her. To soon she is sent to the room.

4: We then go to Sloan in the throne room meeting Isla. Isla loves Sloane

Sloan is ____ and cant stop changing between forms. Hayes is there to comfort her.

Sloan screamed again, making Hayes flinch.
If any of the royals see her like this she's dead. He thinks rushing through the halls toward the throne room.
Another scream and another flinch. He makes it to the doors of the throne room, Hayes sees the changeling chained to her post as usual but she is curled up in a ball.
"Changeling." He calls out striding to her.
"Please, help." She whimpers.
Once getting to Sloan Hayes sees whats wrong. Her physical is changing from purple to elf to human and back over and over, it hurts to transform once. I can't imagine what she's feeling right now.
"Can you stop?"
"I- I can't stop it. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, it's okay. Just breathe. You don't have to be sorry about anything. I've got you."
