Usually the homes would be pretty run down as rodents, bugs, and lice would be in the homes. There was no source for the poor to get clean water, and toilets were not premium, for they were shared by many others. Stoves were too expensive for them so hot meals were very rare. The average diet would be bread, cheese, and potatoes. With these harsh living conditions many incurable diseases flourished, so when young kinds were born it was rare for them to survive past a few years. Many kids were  left orphaned and had to survive on their own. With the disgusting streets and horrible air from the factories most kids died alone on the streets. The only way for them to get a bed and food would be to go into a workhouse, though all kids feared them. Victorian England was a very bad place to be poor in because of its harsh living conditions and the only way to escape them is by going to what was essentially a prison labor camp.

With 11% being under the average wealth amount. Most people who are in poverty are there because of their life choices. But some are there because of their families life choices and were just born into it. Today most people live in tents on the side of the street or in special areas. While living on tents people are subject to sickness and disease.
