Raised in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, her narrative series (seen on this page) is a love letter to home and her father who still resides there. As of September 2024, Dalia will have officially lived half her life in Lebanon and the other half in Canada, an event she’s dubbed “The 50/50”. This project is a nostalgic study of the country she once called home, and a note to her Dad, whom she’s lived apart from for the last 11 years. What does it mean to call a place home; when it’s become unrecognizable, and yet remains eerily familiar?
