Through my Sustainable Sweetness project, I aim to promote a healthier alternative to processed sugar by introducing dates as a natural, culturally adaptable sweetener.

The first thing that comes into my mind when i hear them is that all the communities have an opportunity to express their pain points and be involved in creating a transformative solution through human centred design and citizen science.

As an inhabitant of this earth, I have the responsibility to take great care of it so that the generations to come can freely enjoy the pleasures that come with it. This doesn't come as an easy task, seeing how far off the plot we've gone, looking a climate change, so I have to be purposeful about it, so that even when challenges arise, I can bounce back 10 times stronger!

So whenever I get an idea, I love to seek the ideas of others sometimes because one person’s input or question is what sets you on a more efficient course.

Yes the world has an abundant offering, but we must preserve it and care for it, not just for ourselves but for the future generations to come.

To me, inclusivity means more than just representation, it’s about respecting and embracing diversity in thought, ability, and priorities. I believe every individual has something to offer, provided we are ready to actively listen. It’s about co-creating spaces where power is shared and not imposed.

Over the years, I’ve made it my life’s mission to advocate for a more inclusive and equitable society, particularly for women who continue to be sidelined in spaces of decision-making and leadership.

This commitment is at the heart of the project I’m building. I truly believe that the future belongs to those who care, not those who dominate.

One of my biggest learnings—or unlearnings—recently has been to accept myself in not knowing everything, and to be honest about it. For a long time, I felt the need to have all the answers, especially when working in spaces that carry so much responsibility. But I’ve come to understand that humility and curiosity are just as important as knowledge. Owning what I don’t know has allowed me to listen better, learn more deeply, and build more authentic relationships with others and with myself.

By inviting diverse voices into the process, we ensure the outcomes are not only innovative, but inclusive, practical, and rooted in real needs. Co-creation empowers people to take ownership of sustainable change — making it more impactful, scalable, and lasting.

In my perspective, winning is great when you have cultivated it rather than when you've gotten lucky.

It is not easy in most cases. For example, an inorganic farm is much easier to deal with as everything is chemically accelerated but I choose to follow the path is safest for the soil and the environment.

they enable me to stand up for myself, advocate ,step out of my comfort zone and bounce back from any situation in life.

Each time a step out of my comfort zone, facing my flaws and fears ,bouncing back from situations in life and believing in my own strength.

For me co-creation means active collaboration - there's a saying that says " nothing for us without us" this means that no program, project or policy can be made for a certain demographic without them being involved. We must always invite the people we are creating programs for to the conversations, allow them to build the projects in alignment to their needs. This is a crucial value for me personally because if we do not invite the market to the conversations or allow them to influence how the projects are to be made - projects are bound to fail as they lose the true significance of the cause.

It's ensuring that everyone is heard and feels heard.

It's not only saying what you do, it's doing exactly what you say.

Courage helps me to keep trying even when I am uncertain. I have had to raise my voice, engage in risk-taking, and persevere even when it was hard, especially in a leadership role or trying new things.

It’s the small things:

Reusing my grandmother’s old jars for spices instead of buying new ones, because she taught me waste is disrespect—to people and resources. Choosing second-hand books.

Frustrations too: Seeing fast fashion ads everywhere, knowing clothes are made to be discarded. It feels like we’re stealing from our own future.

Sustainability is intergenerational love. It’s asking: "Will this harm someone I’ll never meet?" When I fix my bike instead of replacing it, or eat local food to cut transport emissions, it’s my tiny rebellion against carelessness.

Compassion shows up in how I treat others, especially in my work with marginalized communities, such as volunteering at Sisu Hub (an autism school), mentoring students through the STARS Programme, and my involvement in feminist legal spaces. I believe real change begins with empathy and listening.

Integrity is the compass I use when making decisions—I aim to remain authentic, honest, and committed, even when no one is watching.

Justice is at the heart of everything I do. Whether through studying law, promoting inclusive education, or being a beVisioneers Fellow, I am driven by the idea that everyone deserves access, fairness, and dignity.
