My Grandfather passed away several years ago (like Granny's Husband) and my grandmother grew lonely. We decided to get her a dog to keep her company, and that was one of the best choices we have ever made! By having her dog, she feels like she has a companion that keeps her company and brings her happiness. This is similar to how Granny feels lonely when her husband passes away.
