Usually separated into four categories—spring, summer, autumn , and winter—seasons are divisions of the year based on shifts in the weather, climate, and daylight hours. The angle of the Earth and its orbit around the sun are the causes of these changes. Temperature, precipitation, and the kinds of plants and animals that flourish during each season are all influenced by the seasons. For instance, winter is colder and has fewer days, whereas spring brings warmer temperatures and new growth.

Spring, which follows winter but comes before summer, is usually marked by longer days, warmer temperatures, flower blossoming, and the arrival of new plants. In the Northern Hemisphere, it typically starts in March and lasts until June. Tulips, daisies, and cherry blossoms are among the many trees and plants that "wake up" from dormancy in the spring. Bears and certain insects that hibernate during the winter come out, and birds start returning to colder regions. As nature comes to life after the chilly, empty winter months, spring is frequently viewed as a season of rebirth, growth, and fresh starts.

Fall, sometimes referred to as autumn, is the transitional season between summer and winter, characterized by shorter days and generally colder temperatures. Dead trees' leaves turn vivid shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall before dropping off. Apples and pumpkins are just two of the crops that are harvested during this time. Fall is frequently linked to festivals, comfortable weather, and getting ready for the chilly winter months.

Longer days, lots of sunshine, and warm or hot temperatures are characteristics of the summer season. With so many plants in full bloom, it's a time for adventures in the outdoors, trips, and taking in the scenery. Since people frequently use the sunny weather to unwind and engage in recreational activities, summer is also linked to festivals, swimming, picnics, and school breaks.
