This is done across all ages and subjects. These become our 'yellow target words' and each class works in similar ways to encourage the children to explore and use their target words . Each teacher carefully chooses the vocabulary they want to teach for that half term, linking to topic or English. When we learn new words we add them to the traffic light, placing them at the level to show how familiar we are with the word.
