1. Before printing, the image can flipped horizontally using photoshop. This is because the final result will be in reserve.

2. Once the desired image is chosen, print from a inkjet printer using 80 -100 gsm paper, if the paper is too thick the solution will not seep through to the back. Similarly if the paper weight is too light the paper might absorb too much water and tear.

3. It can be printed in Black and White or colour.

4. Place the print, image side up and wet it with a spray bottle or paint brush regularly checking to see if the image has seeped through

5. Other chemicals can be used such as bleach or diluted alcohol. Bleach will make the colours lighter and the alcohol will mix with the ink and flow together.

6. Once the print attains the desired affect, hang the transaquatype to dry.

Transaquatypes were definitely one of the easier experiments to undertake. However that doesn't mean the resulting images were dull to look at. Using diluted alcohol created a water colour painting affect as it made the ink swirl around rather than just seeping through to the back of the paper.
In the future I would like to try using other solvents rather than just sticking to alcohol in order to see what other affects can be created with the paper.
