         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Galileo says that people interpreted the bible wrong/differently. He states that God wants us to discover things about the universe and the world.<br>2. This person is stating that Galileo's theory is not correct because it would contradict some aspects of the bible. This person seems to believe very strongly in the bible and does not want any different interpretations of it.<br>3. We have similar controversies about pollution and global warming. The scientists seem to have proved that it is happening, but the people don't seem to believe and/or don't really care. (kind of similar but not really) </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>a). Galileo justifies his belief by explaining that if God gave us our senses, he must want us to use them. In other words, he is using the senses he received from God in order to make these discoveries, so it must have been in God's plan for him to do so.<br>b).  The church is unable to accept Galileo's claims because the Bible states in many sections that the planets move around the earth. They say it is as heretical to call the sun the center as it is to say the virgin birth never happened.</div>]]></description>
