The beginning of the letter starts by explain the issue that is being addressed and explains what his problem is with books being burned. This acts a hook for the reader.

2. The middle of the letter he provides details like the fact that he is a farmer Combat Veteran and discusses how he is not exploiting the burning of his books to make money, instead he explains that his is a hard-worker who wrote those novels to convey values and issues the normal American families face.

3. HE concludes the letter by asking the school board to be mature adults and allow students to access a variety of ideas on order to allow them to think freely for themselves.
