         <description><![CDATA[<div>the first leader of Athens was named Drako. Drako set a bunch of strict rules for the low class people because the rules were really made by the higher class people. Whoever broke the littliest law would be put to death. He said anyone who was in the government was considered a citizen. Soon after Drako was replaced with a new ruler named Peisistratus  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 546 B.C Peisistratus became the new leader of Athens. Peisistratus was considered a trytant which is a ruler who use power through force. today a trytant means harsh or mean but back then it meant something else.  "Athenian tyrants were usally good leaders." (Textbook 247) Peisistratus brought peace and prospertity to the city, he built temples and monuments. He even created new feastivls for the city. After Peisistratus died his son step up to become the next tyrant.</div>]]></description>

Perculis engoraged people to take pride in their city. He believed that being in the government was just as important as an army defending the city. He engouraged people to join the government. Perculis even payed the people if they particapted in the government.</div>]]></description>
