I am a first year teacher, teaching Kindergarten at Holliday C-2 school in Holliday, Missouri. Our district currently has only 57 students K-8 and I enjoy working in a small district, because it allows me the opportunity to build a person connection with the students and their families. I love, love, love being a Kindergarten teacher, because everyday is different and you never know what might happen throughout the day (keeps me on my toes). My passion in education is to make students feel important and to teach them to enjoy and love learning. I have been married to my husband Phillip for 10 years. I was able to get funding to purchase two Kindle Fires for my students, but I would like to write a grant to purchase Ipads for the elementary students. In my classroom, I use the Smart Board daily for different learning activities such as videos, games, and power points. In my professional life, we really don't use technology during professional development. In my daily life, I use technology almost 24/7. My smartphone is always with me, because I have an Apple Watch. My stream t.v. through Sling and Hulu. All my children have smartphones and my husband is taking the leap too. I have severe food and environmental allergies, which I only found out about after I had surgery to remove my tonsils and adenoids in June 2017.
