One piece of evidence is in the second to last paragraph. It states that "At the turn of the last century, it was estimated that were were between one and two million chimpanzees living in the wild. Now estimates range between only 172,000 and 300,000." That shocking fact explains one of the many reasons she is writing this article. In paragraph three, Coppola states that many chimps in the U.S are treated badly. Some are forced to do actions that they cannot get out of such as appearing on movies and TV. Some even suffer in labs.

In "the golden Years", the author talks about some pros and cons about using these animals for research. It is more of an informational piece that an opinion.It shows plenty of sources and quotes from government agencies, scientists, and animal services. "why all Chimpanzees..." is an opinion piece, and only shows one side; the side that is against using chimpanzees for medical reasons.
