Speaking from my own personal experience, I didn’t like the old method of learning. I felt as if I had to satisfy the teacher and not my own desires, wants and abilities. There was no personalized education. The teachers stood in front of the class as if they were the center of the universe. The teacher dictated material and all I had to do is copy. Many times, I felt bored and discouraged. There was no fun in learning. Add to that unprofessional and mean teachers that made fun of students in front of the entire class, including me. 

I like to teach using the new method, the student-centered learning. People learn best when they feel emotionally connected to the subject they are learning. The best way to learn something is to like it, to learn in a fun way and the lesson is interactive. Also, people learn best when they are excited about a certain subject. 

As a teacher, I would like my students to learn as well as to enjoy. To see my students happy and excited would make me happy. I want my students to feel that I am different from the other teachers, especially from the old-fashioned teachers. To know that my students enjoy my class is the best for me. 

It is important for me to empower the students as a group and as individuals. Every student should get personalized attention and affection. It is not acceptable to see students that they were told that they are not able to learn. I would like to demonstrate to the students that they are capable of learning. As a teacher, I would prepare my students for the fast-changing future.
