Plot:The problem is that two people were found on their island in book 2 of this series this is book 3 but they go to get their friends in the beginning of this book from a island named Warbler where their friends are kept slaves a thorn necklace is put in their neck so they can't speak they use magic to remove them at their home in Artime but their ship is being controlled by another spell which makes it sail to an island with a volcano called Pirate Island where the 2 people found on artime Sky and Crow’s mom is kept slave and they are trying to save her

Argument/Claim (includes an opinion):
This series is awesome and a great book it's got magic,monster,and a great story.

Reason 1:The Magic
I myself love magic and in this they use magic now they have to use components and stuff but still magic.
On page 110 it talks about a book that could bring things back to life from bones or to life from a material he used it on a whale  Alex was working on it covering it in seaweed and using a spell to keep it from being damaged
Next he uses the spell picturing it but forgot to say it can breathe on land and so it starts dieing he uses a spell to put it to sleep and uses another spell to put it in the ocean and uses another spell to wake it up only to be smacked by the tail of the whale and watch as the whale swims away.

Reason 2:The stone creatures and monsters
In the story there is a bunch of creatures made of stone and other stuff like the fox made of driftwood and Simber the sand cheetah with wings
On page 104 is certain death the chapter The high priest Aaron is in a forest which he got to by pushing all the buttons on a portal tube controls where the animals t or statues not animals that were dangerous where they are taken care of by a living rock and Aaron plans to turn them against artime the creator of them.
And on page 179 a new chapter started and in this chapter they are attacked by a huge electric eel

Reason 3:The creativity and characters
In the books they have many different creatures and houses 
In Island of fire they try to make a stair of frozen creatures or statues and the creature were like rabbits mixed with beavers and squirrelicorns.
How many creatures there are like the statues and ol’tater the bull and the leopard in the jungle made of vines.Recommendation: 
I really recommend this to people into fantasy and magic.
