-We visited Bogotá and explored the Monserrate hill. I used to be afraid of heights, but I looked after my little brother during the trip.

One day during those visits, I went to my uncle’s farm, and it was one of the happiest days of my childhood. I got close to the animals and I also visited the lagoon near the farm. It is the most famous in town because people say there is a mermaid and that it is an enchanted lake.

That afternoon, I hung out with my cousins, we played together and we went into the water. We had such a pleasant time that I will never forget that day.

I used to dream about walking through those colorful streets.

One day, I ran into an old friend at the beach, and we had lunch together.

Last August, my mother and I set off from San Gil, Santander, on a Concorde bus to Bogotá to visit my two sisters who live in the city. The trip went on for about eight hours, so it was a bit long and tiring.

My mother was very excited because she had been looking forward to this trip for several months. I came along with her because she’s elderly and usually feels nervous about traveling alone.

We got in to Bogotá in the afternoon, and one of my sisters picked us up at the bus station. From there, we headed back to her place to rest. The next day, we carried on with our plans and celebrated my younger sister’s birthday.

During our stay, we hung out together, enjoyed each other’s company, and even checked out some of Bogotá’s sights. The visit went by so quickly. After eight days, we packed up and headed back home by bus again.

Last year, I traveled to San Andrés Islands, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I stayed there for a week with my family, and every single day felt like a dream. When I was a child, I used to hear stories about San Andrés, but I never imagined how beautiful it really was. The first day, we checked in at the hotel and then we went out to walk around the beach. The sea was so clear that I could see the fish swimming close to the shore. One morning, we woke up early and set off on a boat tour around the island. We stopped by “Johnny Cay,” where I lay down on the sand and enjoyed the sun. Later, we went snorkeling, and I came across colorful fish and coral reefs. I had never seen such amazing underwater life before. We also went shopping in the downtown area, where we looked for souvenirs to bring back home. I picked up some handmade jewelry and local crafts. At night, we tried out typical dishes like “rondón,” and the flavors really stood out. I used to think that beaches were all the same, but after visiting San Andrés, I realized how unique this island is. On the last day, I packed up my suitcase with sadness because I didn’t want the trip to be over. That journey will always bring back wonderful memories whenever I think about it.

Every day, we walked through the old streets and visited different museums. I bought souvenirs and took many pictures. One afternoon, we went on a boat trip to the Rosario Islands. The water was clear, and we swam for hours.

At night, we ate seafood and listened to music in the main square. The people were very kind, and the atmosphere was lively. After five days, we returned home tired but very happy. It was an unforgettable trip.

Last year, I traveled to Cartagena with my friends. We explored the historic center and enjoyed the view from San Felipe Castle. When I was a child, I used to visit the city every December with my family. One day, while walking along the beach, we came across a group of musicians playing champeta, and we ended up dancing with them until sunset.

we went to the Guatavita town museum where they had clay and gold vessels handmade by the native of the place and some recovered from the lagoon, which they threw as offerings to the gods.

from this experience we learned a lot about culture and art.

I traveled to San Andres Islands by plane when I was twelve years old. My parents and I went there with the Colombian World Cup T-shirt. When we arrived, we asked for a car to get to the hotel, but first we walked without shoes on the sand. I got to know tourist beaches, I was on yachts and boats, and I tried out cholado for the first time.

I really enjoyed this trip because it was the first time I flew on a plane, and I got to know the sea.

Last year, I traveled to Santa Marta with my whole family. We stayed in a small hotel near the beach, and we used to wake up early every morning to see the beautiful sunrise. One day, we visited Tayrona National Natural Park and swam in the ocean.
