Reflection of own life and journey. 
The thought that it will take a lot of time and require me to engage in some language work.
Another perspective: Poetry writing allows for the space and freedom and to stay in grey rather than being all black and white like in answering a particular question as reflection. 
This process of engaging in different response strategies has allowed to see myself as a learner - structured and what I would like at the end. 
Open mind strategy: allowed uncovering the surface - Aha! moment. A short story discussed in detail - character, emotions - allowed fro deep reflection, levels of depth - was enjoyable and led to a beautiful discussion. 
Each strategy has a different impact on the learners - both heart and mind. The mystery box activity helps listeners stay focussed.
•Note taking: very effective, easy, helpful for recapitulation
•Sketchnoting: Find it difficult to listen and make sketchotes simultaneously. Can be effective with readers who can depict the synthesis of their thoughts visually. Gets better with practice, helps with visualisation.
•Answering questions: Depends on the questions, thier complexity, relevance. Allows readers to organise and articulate their thinking about the text.
•Complex critical questions: lead to analysis of the text and framing their own questions, synthesis, thinking critically
•Drawing your own illustration: helps with visualisation, can be used with younger readers
•Storyboarding as visualisation: difficult in a longer story, helps with visualisation
