They traveled by boat and walked.  They migrated because of the climate change. This would effect the food supply.  Also, Anthropologists have assumed that the early humans migrated because they were following food on the hoof.  People also migrated because they may have been chased away.

Who were the first Americans? I believe that Mongoloid people were the first humans in the Americas. I believe this because archaeologists recently found the skull of a Mongoloid person.  What they figured out changed our thoughts about the first Americans.

The early Americans came to the Americas for many reasons. Firstly, they came in search of food. Since they hunted so many animals the animals began to disappear. Also, some were nomads just traveling place to place searching for food (Wikipedia).

Firstly, there is little evidence that there were people living a civilized life before native Americans. There could have been more peoples but there is little evidence (Discovery Kids, The Kennewick Man).

traditionally the native Americans are believed to be the first to go over the land bridge into America but in recent research the skulls from california look different than the modern looking native americans conventional wisdom says that native americans descended from prehistoric hunters who walked northeast asia across a land bridge formed at the end of the ice age in brazil they found some of the oldest human remains among them a skeleton named luzia that is more than 11,000 years old luzia doesn't look like a native americans instead her facial features closely with the native aborigines these people originated about 60,000 years   The researchers believe Luzia was part of a people, referred to as "Paleoamericans," who migrated into the Americas possibly even by boat long before the Mongoloid people. These Paleoamericans may later have been wiped out by or interbred with Mongoloids invading from the north.
