1-I generally use both of them. Coursebooks generally provide me activities which are well organised. Thus it helps me go on in a planned way. I also prefer to use authentic listening materials and tasks as they attract attention of learners. They provide real life language exposure. 2-I think they will be appropriate and useful in my classroom. They can be adapted in learners level, interests in a short time which I experienced in the class today. That provides me opportunities to change any activity according to needs of the classroom and create more effective engagement. I can't wait sharing my experiences with my students to create more personalised activities.

1- The most common problem in teaching speaking in language classes in my district is generally students' hesitancy to practice speaking due to fear of making mistakes or lack of confidence. 2-The ideas and suggestions I have taken today are definitely going to be helpful to cope with the problems of students' fear of making mistakes or lack of confidence. First of all , I have learnt how effective the using instructions before starting a speaking activity and follow the steps tactfully before apply them. Then, it was very helpful to divide an activity into three parts as pre, while and post activity and differintiate them according to level of the learners. I am going to get benefit of all in my classes.

1-I thing presenting grammar lesson in a way using implicit/inductive/discovery method would be the most useful and appropriate in my language classrooms. First of all, it can promote natural language acqusition through exposure and practise and it helps to use language without hesitation and with confidence. In this method, the focus is on the context rather than the grammar rules. It has been proven that focusing expliticitly on grammar rules doesn't result in benefits in terms of ELT. 2-According to me, the most effective vocabulary teaching suggestion in today's session is to elicit, check, drill, and write. Instead of giving students lists of words, which I have experienced as useless most of the time in my classes, this vocabulary teaching method will help me teach vocabulary in a different way. I hope to benefit from it.

1.What do you think of the biggest and most common problem related to assessment in your local area? Please discuss the reasons for that problem. 2.What do you consider the greatest benefit of being in a Professional Development Community for Teachers of English in your local community?

1.The most common problem related to assessment in my local area is only providing assessment in grammar. Other language skill assessments are not given much attention. Furthermore, when assessing grammar, it is typically done based on language and skills, neglecting additional criteria such as attitude, behavior, ideas, content progress, and effort. This stems from a few key reasons. First of all, it easy for language teachers to assess through language skills, especially grammar, as it provides more accurate results. The other reason is lack of training of teachers in assessment. To solve this problem, in-services trainings can be provided from time to time. Also, to be honest, most teachers in Turkey rarely assess speaking, listening, and writing, as it is time consuming. 2. The greatest benefit of being in a Professional Development Community for Teachers of English in my local community is collaborate with peers. It is great opportunity to exchange experiences with peers and get benefit of best practises. Thanks to this communty, English teachers can improve their teaching methods, and stay updated. The shared expertise helps to set a supportive environment and enrich the overall quality of English. Together, we contribute to the continuous improvement of our teaching skills and the success of our students.
